Breads: Tasty Tid Bits (Angel Biscuits)

Ingredients

  • 5 cups self rising flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 package yeast dissolved in 2 T warm water
  • 3/4 cup shortening

Preparation

Step 1

Sift flour, add sugar, cut in shortening, add dissolved yeast, add buttermilk.
Knead on floured board.
Place in refrigerator or make into biscuits or dip into butter and fold for pocketbook rolls.
Do not let rise.
Place in refrigerator for next meal or in deep freeze to feep for several weeks.

Bake 400-425 degrees for 15 minutes or until brown.
