Ingredients
- 2-3 lbs tart apples, peaches, or other fruit in season (4to6 cups sliced)
- 1/2 c sugar
- 2 T flour
- 1 t cinnamon
- 1 batch classic or sourdough biscuit dough

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Thickly slice the fruit (it should be pitted or cored but left unpeeled) and pile it into a 10 inch cast iron skillet, pot or similar sized baking dish. In a small bowl, toss the sugar and flour; sprinkle over the fruit and toss to coat. Add a shake of cinnamon.
Roll or cut the biscuit dough and place on top of the cobbler, or drop in spoonfuls. If you like, sprinkle with extra sugar. Bake for 50 to 60 min, until the biscuit topping is golden and the fruit is bubbly around the edges.
