Grandma Fary's Nut Rolls
Makes 6 Rolls
- 7 C sifted flour
- 3/4 Lb Margarine
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 C sugar
- 3 Egg yolks
- 1 C Sour cream
- 1/2 C milk
- Do This first and set aside --1 Pkg Dry yeast - 1 T sugar - 1/4 C warm water
Beat egg yolks and 1/2 C milk.
Add yeast with yolk and milk mixture.
Add sour cream, put in measuring cup and add enough milk to make 3 Cups of liquid. Work flour with butter, salt & sugar as for pie dough
Add 3 cups of liquid to flour mixgture and work very well.
Cover dough and refrigerate overnight
Divide into 6 portions
Roll 1/4 inch thickness and fill with filling listed below.
Cover with towel, let raise 45 minutes
Bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes possibly 1/2 hour
Take 1 egg beaten and 1 T water and brush after raised.

2 C sugar
6 tsp milk
2 tsp vanilla
2 T butter
