Johnsonville apple chicken sausage

  • 2 1/2 cups brown or long grain white rice
  • 1 8 oz can pineapple chunks
  • 1 12 oz package frozen stir fry vegetables
  • 1 T canola oil
  • 1 12oz package Johnsonville apple chicken sausage sliced
  • 1 T cornstarch
  • 1/3 c cold water
  • 2 T reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1 T brown sugar



Step 1

cook rice according to package directions and set aside
drain pineapple and reserve chunks and juice
in a large skillet saute vegetables in oil until tender
add sausage and pineapple chunks
cook and stir until heated through
In a small bowl combine the cornstarch, water, soy sauce, brown sugar and reserved pineapple juice
stir into sausage mixture-bring to a boil
cook and stir 1 min or till sauce is thickened
serve over rice
