Reese's Fudge Cookies

Ingredients

  • High Altitude Directions:
  • 1 1/4 cups (2 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine (softened)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Expresso Powder, optional
  • 2 cups (12 oz) pkg Peanut Butter Chips
  • 1 . Increase flour to 2 cups plus 2 tblsp
  • 2 . Decrease baking soda to 3/4 tsp
  • 3 . Decease sugar to 1 2/3 cups
  • 4 . Add 2 tsp water with flour mixture
  • 5 . Bake at 350 degress, 7-8 minutes

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter or margarine and sugar in large mixer bowl. Add eggs and vanilla: blend well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt: blend into creamed mixture. Stir in peanut butter chips.

Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350° for 8-9 minutes. (do not overbake. Cookies will be soft. They will puff during baking, flatten upon cooling.)

Cool on cookie sheet until set, about 1 minute; remove to wire rack to cool completely.
