Veloute Sauce for Chicken Pot Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Kosher salt (to taste)
  • White pepper (to taste)

Preparation

Step 1

In saute pan or skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat.
Add flour and cook, stirring, until well blended and bubbly, about 2 minutes. When done, season with salt and pepper.
