  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 4 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp cumin ssed
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves minced or garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1- 16 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1- 18 oz can tomato paste
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups minute rice
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • Taco toppings

Preparation

Step 1

Brown beef, drain. Add chili powder, oregano, cumin seed, and sugar. Mix in garlic, onion, salt tomato paste, water and rice. Boil for several minutes. Reduce heat and simmer over low heat for 40 min. Place a handful if tortilla chips on plate. Serve meat mixture over the top.
