Apple Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 stick salted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1-1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp apple pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2-3/4 cup diced, peeled apples (about 2 large or 3 medium)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease 8x11 pan and set aside.

Whisk together the flour, spices, baking powder, salt and soda in a medium bowl. In a separate bowl, beat together butter, egg and sugar with mixer until pale, about 2 mins. Add apples and stir to combine. Then add flour mixture, and stir until combined, about 1 min.

Spread batter in pan and bake until golden brown, about 35-40 mins. Let cool 30 mins, then cut into bars. Store airtight up to 5 days.
