Ingredients

  • 2 -1/2 to 3 pound sirloin tip, lean Chuck, or English roast
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup red wine
  • yellow mustard
  • Flour
  • Two small cans of mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons beef base
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Step 1

Rub meat with mustard and coat with flour. Brown on stovetop. Remove meat from pan and add remaining ingredients to deglaze. Bring to a boil. Pour juice over meet in crockpot. Cook 4 to 6 hours on low setting.
