Southwest Chili (using the GH soup recipe)

This is made with a container of the frozen soup base recipe.

Ingredients

  • 4-16 oz. of ground turkey--depending upon how much you want to add to soup
  • 1/2 t. chili powder
  • 1/8 t. ground cumin
  • 2 c. of your soup base-thawed
  • 1/2 c. drained and rinsed canned black beans
  • 1/4 c. salsa
  • 2 T. shredded cheddar

Preparation

Step 1

In non-stick pan:
Brown turkey with chili powder and cumin--stir to break up turkey.
Stir in soup base, beans and salsa.
Heat to boiling.
Reduce heat.
Cover and simmer 5 minutes to blend flavors.
Sprinkle individual servings with cheese.
