Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Fresh Strawberries
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 cup Non-fat yogurt
  • 1 packet sugar or sugar substitute. I like using Stevia
  • 1 cup of ice
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup frozen whole cranberries
  • 1/2 cup vanilla nonfat yogurt
  • 1/2 cup cranberry juiced cocktail
  • 6 oz. Low-Fat Vanilla Yogurt
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Cup Almond or Soy milk
  • 1 Tbsp Caramel Fat Free Topping
  • 1 Cup Ice
  • Pinch each of Cinnamon, Ginger and Clove
  • 3/4 cup frozen blueberries (I like wild blueberries best)
  • 1/4 cup whey protein powder
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds (omega-3 and fiber)

Sometimes simple smoothies are the best smoothies and this is a very simple 2-fruit smoothie with yogurt for protein. Adding Stevia can give it a taste you don’t like, but try it first. If you don’ t like it, use a little sugar or honey to sweeten the smoothie.

Blend Time:

Blend until creamy and delicious, which won’t take long.

I love the name of this smoothie: The Blue Cranberry. It sounds like a fancy restaurant or jazz nightclub. But in reality it is a smoothie that will help prevent bladder infections and fight against painful urinary tract infections or UTI. How does this help?

Huh? Let’s just say that cranberry juice targets the bacteria that causes bladder infections and zaps it. Plus, this smoothie tastes great. Your lips and your bladder will thank you. Blend Time:

Place the cranberry juice in the blender first, yogurt second and frozen fruits last. Start on a slow speed until the blades are smoothly turning and then push to high for 30 seconds or so.

Of course, a cranberry smoothie is not your cure-all for bladder or urinary infections, so see a doctor if yours persists. But drinking cranberry juice can help prevent you from having an infection so enjoy knowing you are drinking a healing smoothie.
