Kahlua Mudslide Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 t instant coffee granules
  • 1/2 c boiling water
  • 2 pks chewy fudge brownie mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c oil
  • 1 qt. coffee-chocolate chip ice cream
  • 4 T Kahlua (or brewed coffee)
  • 2 cans milk-chocolate frosting
  • 2 T chocolate syrup

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 deg. Stir instant coffee into boiling water, cool. Grease 2 9" cake pans. Beat brownie mix, eggs, oil & coffee mix until combined. Divide batter between pans. Bake 3;0 ;mins. Cool, remove from pans. Line 8" pan with plastic wrap; spread ice cream in pan; cover; freeze 2 hrs. Place 1 brownie layer on plate, brush with 2T Kahlua, Invert ice cream on layer; Top with remaining layer. Frost. Freeze 1 hr.
