Ultimate Nachos

Put nachos under broiler for a few minutes instead of 350* oven. They are crisper.

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 6 ounces restaurant-style tortilla chips (6 cups)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 small jalapeno pepper, deseeded and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped tomato (1 small)
- 1 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup sour cream
Preparation
Step 1
1.Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain the fat from the skillet.
2.Stir in the taco seasoning and 1/3 cup water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is thickened,5 to7 minutes.
3.Arrange the chips evenly over the bottom of an ungreased 1 1/2-quart shallow baking dish.
4.Top the chips with the beef. Sprinkle with the Cheddar, jalapeno pepper, tomato and cilantro, if desired. Bake until the cheese is melted, 5 to 10 minutes. Serve with the salsa and sour cream.
