All Purpose Dry Rub

While many rubs have salt and sugar as their dominant ingredients, this versatile version uses a lighter touch, allowing it to be used in a number of different dishes. Rub it on chicken, fish, grilled veggies. Use as a dip mixed with sour cream. Mix it with ranch dressing for a flavorful salad.

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. paprika
- 1/4 c. light brown sugar
- 1/4 c. garlic powder
- 2 T. onion powder
- 2 t. salt
- 1 T. freshly ground black pepper
- 2 T. chili powder
- 1 T. oregano
- 1 t. cayenne
Preparation
Step 1
Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl. Whisk thoroughly to break up any lumps. Store in an airtight container.
Makes 1 1/2 cups.
