Sweet and Sour Chicken****

Ingredients

  • The chicken coating:
  • 3-4 boneless chicken breasts
  • salt + pepper
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • The sweet and sour sauce:
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 tbs ketchup
  • 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic salt

Preparation

Step 1

-Preheat oven 325*
-Cut chicken into bite size pieces.
-Season with S&P to taste.
-Dredge chicken in cornstarch and then dip in egg.
-Brown chicken in oil, but not cooked through.
-Mix all of the sauce ingredients together and pour over chicken.
-Bake for 45-60 min, turning every 15 min.
