Ingredients

  • 2 C unsifted flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 12 oz pkg (2 C) Nestles butterscotch morsels
  • 1/2 C butter or oleo
  • 2 C firmly packed brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 C chopped nuts (I like pecans)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 deg. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Melt butterscotch morsels and butter over hot water. Remove from heat and transfer to large bowel. Stir in brown sugar. Cool 5 minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract. Blend in flour mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread evenly into greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 deg for 30 minutes. Cool. Cut into 2-inch squares. Makes 35 squares.
