Ingredients
- 16 slices day old white bread square shape preferred
- Butter
- 4 C sharp cheddar cheese grated divided
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/4 C milk
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp red pepper sauce
Preparation
Step 1
Remove crusts from bread butuer the slices and cut into 1 inch wide strips. Grease 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. Place half of the breada on the bottom of the dish. Sprinkle 1 1/2 Ccheese over the bread. Repeat layers with remining bread and 1 1/2 C cheese. Beat eggs with milk dry mustard salt Worcestershire sauce and re pepper sauce. Pour mixture over bread and chsses layers. Sprinkle remaining 1 C cheese over the top. Regrig 12 hrs . Remove from regrig and bring cassorole to room temp. Meanwhile preheat over to 340 degrees. Bake casserole 45 to 50 mins Remove from overn and let rest on cooling rack for 15 mins.
