Strawberry pretzel dessert

Ingredients

• 2 c pretzel sticks-coarsely chopped
• 1 c sugar, divided
• 1/2 c margarine, melted
• 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
• 9 oz tub of cool whip
• 2 boxes strawberry jello (3 oz boxes)
• 2 boxes frozen strawberries (10 oz boxes
• 2 c boiling water

Preparation

Step 1

Combine pretzels, 1/2 c sugar and margarine. Press into 13 x 9 greased pan. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Cool completely. Combine cream cheese, the other 1/2 cup of sugar and cool whip. Spread over pretzel mixture. Dissolve jello in boiling water. Add strawberries and refrigerate. When hello is thickened but not completely set, spread it over cream cheese layer.
