  • 35 saltine crackers
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c packed brown sugar
  • 1 pkg (8 squares) Bakers semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 c chopped walnuts, toasted


Preparation time 30mins
Cooking time 60mins


Step 1

Heat oven to 400.

Place crackers in single layer in foil-lined 15x10x1 inch pan.

Cook butter and sugar in saucepan on med-high heat until butter is melted and mixture is well blended, stirring occasionally. Bring to a boil; cook 3 minutes. Spread onto crackers

Bake 5-7 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate, let stand 5 minutes or until chocolate is softened. Spread chocolate over ingredients in pan; sprinkle with nuts. Cool and break into pieces.
