Ingredients
- Cucumbers
- 1 cup lime to 1 gallon water
- 3 cups vinegar
- 1/2 Tablespoon salt
- 1/2 Tablespoon celery seed
- 1/2 Tablespoon pickling spices
- 1/2 Tablespoon whole cloves
- green food coloring

Step 1
Cut up cucumbers into sticks, drainer full. Mix lime and water and stir a lot ahead of time. Soak cucumbers cut into sticks for 24 hours. Pour in sink and rinse thoroughly. Soak 3 hours in cold water.
Put pickling spices and whole cloves in a tea towel, tied. Bring all remaining ingredients to a boil and pour over cukes. Let stand overnight.
Next morning, bring all to a boil and simmer 30 minutes. Pour pickles and juice in jar, seal and turn upside down to seal.
