Skillet Rib Eyes

You can season the steaks or use whatever marinade you like, then pan-fry your steaks following the instructions below.

Ingredients

  • 2 well-trimmed beef rib eye steaks, cut 1 in thinck
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

In a large, non-stick heavy skillet, heat oil over medium heat until very hot. Place steaks in skillet; cook 10-14 minutes for medium-rare to medium doneness, turning ONLY ONCE.

Use an instant thermometer to check the temperature in the center. Medium would be 140 to 145 degrees F.

Note: Steaks will continue to cook after they’ve come off the grill, so add another 5 degrees into your calculations when you’re testing for doneness.
