Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms
- 1 pound small fresh mushrooms
- 4 slices bacon chopped
- 1 medium minced onion
- 1 dash freshly-ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup buttered bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons minced green pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon Accent
- 3 ounces cream cheese
Wash mushrooms. Remove stems and chop them. Saute bacon, onion, green pepper, stem pieces and seasonings. Drain.
Combine cream cheese with mixture. Stuff in to mushroom caps. Heat bread crumbs with 1 tablespoon butter. Dunk mushrooms in bread crumbs. Put in a 9- by 13-inch pan. Put 1/4 cup hot water and bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 375 degrees.
