Tender Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 c butter
  • 1 1/2 c confectioner's sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 t vanilla
  • scant 2 1/4 c flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1 t cream of tartar
  • 1/2 t cinnamon (opt)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375, line cookie sheets with parchment.

Cream butter & sugar. Add eggs & vanilla. Combine dry ingredients & add to creamed mixture.

If rolling, refrigerate dough for at least 1 hour, then roll out & cut desired shapes. Otherwise spoon onto cookie sheets & bake for 7-8 mins. DO NOT OVERBAKE.
