Ingredients
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- ½ tsp. ginger
- ½ tsp. garlic powder
- ½ cup soya sauce
- 1 cup water, boiling
- 2 lbs. round steak, cut into strips
- 3 celery stalks, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 green pepper, cut into strips
- 1 ½ cups boiling water
- cornstarch
Preparation
Step 1
In a small bowl; mix bouillon cube, ginger, garlic powder, soya sauce and boiling water. Pour marinade over steak strips and let sit for 2 hours
Drain meat well reserving marinade. Brown steak in hot oil for a few minutes until brown. Place meat in a large skillet. Add 1 cup marinade and 1 1/2 cups
boiling water. Simmer, covered, for about 1 hour
Add celery, onion and peppers. Simmer until vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes. Thicken sauce with a bit of cornstarch if necessary
