Ingredients
- 2 (16 oz) cans Boston Baked Beans
- 1 (15 oz) can red kidney beans, drained
- 1/2 cup chopped red pepper
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 6 slices, cooked, drained and crumbled bacon
- 1/4 cup smoke flavored bbq sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp powdered ginger
- 2 Tbs sugar
- 2 Tbs bourbon whiskey
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Preparation
Step 1
Combine bens with remaining ingredients except cheese and stir to blend. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325 for one hour covered, stirring occasionally.
Add cheer and bake another 10 minutes, uncovered, until cheese is melted. Transfer to a wide mouth insulated container or thermos.
