Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 C Shortening (or 1/2 C Shortening and 1/2 C Butter)
  • 1 1/2 C Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 2 3/4 C Flour
  • 2 Tsp Cream of Tartar
  • Topping:
  • 2 Tbs Sugar
  • 2 Tsp Cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs. Add dry ingredients (except for topping). Roll into 1-inch balls. Mix sugar and cinnamon topping and roll balls in it. Place balls 2 inches apart and bake for 8-10 minutes. (They will not look done, but harden as they cool.
