Sopapilla Cheesecake (Jenn Long)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. sugar, divided
  • 2 (8oz) pkgs cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 large cans crescent rolls, divided
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • Cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 250 degrees

Beat 1 cup sugar, cream cheese and vanilla until smooth. In a large lightly greased baking dish, layer one can of crescent rolls (unfolded). Pinch edges/seams of dough together to form a solid layer. Spread cream cheese mixture on top of dough. Layer the remaining crescent rolls on top of cream cheese with edges touching. Pour melted butter on top.

Combine remaining 1/2 cup of sugar and cinnamon (I sprinkle the 1/2 c. sugar and then shake the cinnamon on top -- not sure how much, but I cover it completely). Sprinkle evenly on top of butter.

Bake for 40- 45 minutes. Serve warm.
