Penne with kale and onion

Ingredients
- 1 med onion sliced
- 2 T olive oil divided
- 8 garlic cloves thinly sliced
- 3 c uncooked pasta
- 6 c chopped fresh kale
- 1/2 t salt

Step 1
in a large skillet cook onion in 1 T oil over med heat for 15-20 mins or till onion is golden-stirring frequently and adding the garlic during last 2 mins of cooking
meanwhile in a large saucepan cook penne according to pkg directions
in a dutch oven bring 1 inch of water to a boil-add kale-cover and cook for 10-15 mins or till tender-drain and drizzle with remaining oil
stir the salt penne and kale into onion mixture-heat through
