Cheddar Chive Scones

Ingredients

  • 2 C Flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1/4 C Cold butter cut in 1/4 " cubes
  • 1 1/3 C Grated old cheddar divided
  • 1/2 C milk
  • 1/2 C buttermilk
  • 1 lge egg beaten
  • 1/4 C fresh chives

Preparation

Step 1

Sift dry ingredients together
Cut in Butter
Stir in 1 C cheese
in small bowl whisk milk buttermilk and egg together and stir in chives
add milk mixture to form batter
use 1/4 c scoop drip batter on baking sheet
sprinkle 1/3 c cheese on top
bake at 400 for 15 to 18 minutes
