Quinoa Breakfast Porridge

Ingredients

  • 2 C cooked quinoa
  • 1 C milk (almond, rice or coconut fine)
  • 1/2 C raisins
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 1/2 C shredded coconut
  • 1 medium apple, chopped
  • 1 C chopped or slivered almonds
  • Honey to garnish

Preparation

Step 1

In medium saucepan, combine cooked quinoa with milk and heat over medium heat, bringing just to a simmer. Add raisins and cinnamon, cover and reduce heat to simmer for 5-10 minutes until heated through and milk starts to be absorbed. Stir in rest of ingredients and serve with honey.
