Pickens Peachy Praline Pie

Ingredients

  • crust:
  • 1/2 c chopped pecans (fine)
  • 1 1/4 c all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c butter flavored crisco
  • 1/4 c ice water
  • pinch salt
  • filling:
  • 4 c peaches cored and sliced
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 c sugar
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • praline mixture:
  • 11/2 c pecans, in pieces
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 1/4 c white sugar
  • 3 1/8 Tbsp butter cut into pieces

Preparation

Step 1

1 preheat oven to 350 degrees. mix flour and fine pecans with cold Crisco till crumbly.

2 add water stir till forms a ball. chill for 1 hour.

3 roll out and cut side even with pie dish 9 inch dish.

4 mix peaches, cinnamon, lemon juice, 1 c. sugar and 3 Tlbs flour in bowl till all peaches are covered. set aside.

5 mix remanding sugars and the butter till crumbly. add chopped pecans till all covered place half in bottom of pie dish.

6 sprinkle the rest of praline mix on top and use the left over crust to make cutouts of choice to decorate the sides of dish.

7 bake at 350 for 40 mins or till golden grown and the juices are bubbling.
