Chicken with Tropical Barbecue Sauce

By

I searched my handy dandy crockpot cookbook and came up with a new recipe that I haven't tried yet... It was really good, even though I over cooked it a bit and it was a little dry. It was just as good when we threw some barbecue sauce on it and used the leftovers for sandwiches the next day! Yes, dual purpose!!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/8-1/4 teaspoon red pepper sauce (can use more)
  • 2 Tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 whole, bone-in chicken breasts, halved (dark meat, like chicken thighs, is really moister)
  • 2 teaspoons prepared Dijon mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Blend molasses, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, mustard, pepper sauce and orange juice.

Arrange chicken in crock pot.

Put sauce over chicken

Cover and cook on LOW about 7 hours or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours.
