  • 3 c stale French-bread, cubed
  • 1 lb. crabmeat
  • 12 eggs
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 2 t dried tarragon
  • 10 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 t paprika
  • butter
  • salt & pepper


Servings 6


Step 1

Coat an 11x8 pan with the butter. Spread the bread in the pan, sprinkle the crabmeat evenly. Beat the eggs, milk, tarragon, salt l& pepper together & pour over the bread & crab. Sprinkle the cheese over the top, then the paprika. Cover the pan with plastic wrap & refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350 D. Bake for 30 mins. Broil for 5 mins. Serve hot.
