Ingredients
- 2 lbs. lean ground beef
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1/4 cup corn syrup (I used the dark)
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 quart (4 cups) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 cup shredded cheese (I used half Colby & half Cheddar)
- Garlic powder, to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Cook macaroni according to directions on package.
Brown hamburger with onion and green pepper.
Drain.
Add remaining ingredients and cooked macaroni.
Put in large casserole dish.
Bake for 1 hour at 350º uncovered.
Serves 8 with large appetites.
NOTE:
As I do to most of my hamburger dishes, I added about 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce for more "zip".
