Grandma's Secret Trick:
Potatoes Lorraine is a staple at Grandma's buffets because the recipe makes plenty and people can easily serve themselves. Her trick for the neatest serving is to let the potatoes stand for 15 minutes after being removed from the oven but before being cut into squares. The cheese sets, so the squares come out of the pan easily and hold together.
