Ingredients
- 1 tbs oil
- 1/2 small onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 tbs light brown sugar
- 2 tbs dijon mustard
- 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbs chili powder
- 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper *increase for more heat
- kosher salt & pepper *to taste
- 1/2 cup water
Preparation
Step 1
Put onion and garlic in food processor to chop finely.
Heat oil in a saucepan on medium heat. Add onion/garlic mixture and cook until softened (about 3-5 minutes)
Add rest of ingredients
Mix well with whisk and periodically until the sauce is slightly thickened about 12-15 minutes.
The sauce will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
