All-Purpose Marinade

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup teriyaki sauce (If your jar of teriyaki sauce is only 3/4 cup, use 1/4 lower sodium soy sauce to make up the difference)
  • 1/3 Cup sesame oil
  • 1/4 Cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1/4 Cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp. CHINESE FIVE SPICE POWDER
  • 1 tsp. CRACKED GINGER (CRYSTALLIZED GINGER BITS would be a nice substitution, use 1 TB.)
  • 1-2 tsp. GRANULATED GARLIC POWDER (recipe calls for 2 tsp. which is a lot using our PENZEYS GARLIC)
  • Combine all of the ingredients in a zip-top bag or container with tight lid. Add your meat of choice and seal. Slosh the bag around a bit and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.
