Ingredients
- 1 pkg Strawberry Gelatin
- 1/2 cup Ice Water
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 pkgs. (10 0z) Frozen Strawberries or 2 1/2 cups) - Save Juice
- 2 cups Whipping Cream whipped (2 half pint boxes of whipping cream before whipped)
- 1 Angel Food Cake
Preparation
Step 1
Dissolve gelatin in hot water, add ice water. Chill until slightly congealed. Beat until light and fluffy. Drain berries, but save juice. Fold in strawberries and whipped cream. Tear Angel Food Cake into pieces. Alternate cake and mixture.
Ruby Glaze Topping:
1 cup Strawberry Juice
2 or 3 drops red food coloring
1 teaspoon soft butter
1 table spoon cornstarch
Blend cornstarch with a little juice and gradually add rest of juice. Cook until clear, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add color and butter. Cool. Pour on dessert when serving.
