BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chicken
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 Tbs. cornmeal
  • 4 tsp. season salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3-4 cup oil

Preparation

Step 1

Dip chicken in buttermilk. Combine flour, cornmeal, salt and pepper. Place chicken in bag 3 pieces at a time and shake until well coated. Do an hour or so ahead so coating can set. Heat oil in large frying pan or until done. Handle chicken as little as possible while cooking.
