Annette's Cream Puffs

Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 small pkg vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 cup whipping cream

Preparation

Step 1

In a pot, bring the butter and water to a boil. Remove from heat. Add the flour and mix with a wooden spoon until a ball forms. Put in a mixer. Add the 4 eggs, one at a time. Mix until blended.
Bake at 350F for 1/2 hour or until golden. Use a cool pan if needing to bake in two batches. Putting cold batter on a hot pan is not a good idea.
Let cool.
Put milk, vanilla pudding and whipping cream in mixer. Beat until thick and fluffy. Fill puffs. Drizzle with melted chocolate chips and/or shake powdered sugar on top.
