  • 1 pkg 16oz pasta
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • dash of salt
  • 4 cups 2% milk
  • 5 cups (20oz) shredded sharp cheddar,divided
  • 1 cup shredded Asiago cheese



Step 1

Cook pasta according to pkg.
Meanwhile melt butter over med. heat, add garlic until tender. Stir in flour, pepper and salt. Cook and stir until golden brown. about 5 min. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring until smooth. Bring to boil, cook 2 min longer until thickened.
Remove from heat stir in cheese until melted. Combine with pasta. Transfer to greased 13x9 pan and sprinkle with extra cheese, bake uncovered at 350 for 35-40 min. Let stand 5min before serving.
