Chocolate Toffee Crunch

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ lb butter (yes, real butter)
  • Saltine crackers
  • 12 oz. semi sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Line cookie sheet or 13x9 pan with foil. (Do NOT try to make this without the foil)
Layer saltines on pan.
Bring butter and sugar to a boil for 3 minutes to make toffee.
Pour toffee over crackers.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over toffee.
Let stand until melted and spread evenly over cracker/toffee layer.
Chill in refrigerator.
When completely chilled, break into chunks.
