Parmesan Puff Pastry (Paula Deen)

Ingredients

  • 1 (17.3 oz) Package of Frozen Puff Pastry Shells, Thawed
  • 1 cup Parmesan, Freshly Grated
  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 cup of Butter

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Lightly grease a baking sheet. Unfold pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into 13 strips, about ¾ by 10 inches each. In a shallow dish, combine cheese, basil and garlic. Brush pastry sticks with melted butter. Roll pastry in mixture, coating each side. Gently twist pastry and place on the baking sheet.

Bake for 12 minutes. Cool on wire racks.

Yields: About 26 breadsticks
