  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger

Step 1

Cream shortening, molasses, sugar and eggs. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Roll in a ball, dip in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350* for 12-15 minutes.
