Chicken in creamy wine sauce

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 Tbsp butter melted plus a little more for baking dish
  • Kosher salt and black pepper
  • 6 oz Swiss cheese 1 large slice for each piece of chicken
  • 1 10oz can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 cup herb-flavored bread crumbs or stuffing mix

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place chicken in a shallow buttered baking dish and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Layer the cheese slices on top of chicken.

In a medium bowl, combine the soup and the wine,season with salt and pepper and pour over the cheese. Sprinkle the bread crumbs on top and drizzle with melted butter (you may need a little more butter, its up to you).
Bake for 45 minutes,remove from oven and serve
