Snowballs or Polish Butter Cookies

These are melt-in-your-mouth delights - thanks to Pauline for sharing this treasure from her mom's kitchen!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup chopped or ground pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, add sugar, vanilla , and salt. Then add flour a little at a time. Mix well. Add pecans. Shape into small snowballs and crescents. Bake at 350 to 375 for 12 - 15 minutes until slightly browned. When cool, sprinke with additional powdered sugar.
