You just can’t go wrong with Mom’s Festive Fresh Strawberry Pie (paired with LeAnn’s Tropical Salsa, of course) this Fourth of July! It’s not only simple to prepare, but it’s also nearly impossible to mess up and impossible for anyone to pass up! So this Independence Day, pick up the below ingredients and surprise your family, friends and guests with this special treat. Ingredients

  • 2 cooked and cooled standard size pie shells
  • 3 pints fresh strawberries (stems Removed, washed, drained and halved)
  • 4 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 small package Strawberry Jello

Preparation

Step 1

Fill your pie shells with strawberries. Combine corn starch, sugar, water, and Jello in sauce pan and cook on medium to high heat until it reaches a good boil (about 3 – 4 minutes). Cool slightly. Then pour half the mixture over the strawberries in each pie shell. Chill at least 2 hours (or until firm), and top with whipped cream.
