A topping that freezes into a hard shell when it comes into contact with cold ice cream. Get crazy and add in some chopped nuts or a teaspoon of orange or coffee extract.
Mix the coconut oil and the chocolate chips in a glass mason jar. Microwave in 10 second intervals, stirring each time. In the summer this will take about 30 to 40 seconds (or 3 or 4 times in the microwave). Store in the fridge for up to a month. After it's been chilled in the fridge you'll need to microwave about 10 to 20 seconds before using. You want the mixture to pour but not to be hot enough to melt your ice cream.
