Chinese Cole Slaw Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg coleslaw mix with carrots (or 1/4 head cabbage)
  • 4 green onions diced
  • 3 oz. pkg chicken-flavored ramen noodles soup mix
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds toasted
  • 3 T. sunflower seeds, toasted
  • Dressing
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 3 T. sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegatable oil
  • couple shakes of soy sauce
  • flavor packet from soup
  • 1/8 t. each, salt and pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Whisk up dressing together and refrigerate. Toast almonds and sunflower seeds on stovetop. They will toast fast so watch them at all times. Put on plate and cool completely.

When ready to serve salad. Toss all salad ingredients in bowl. Add dressing to taste. Be careful because sometimes it will soak your salad. I will save almost half the dressing for later. Crunch up ramen noodles from soup packet; add with almonds and sunflower seeds.
