Ingredients
- 1 box Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix
- water, veg oil and eggscalled for on brownie mix box
- 1 container Betty Crocker Whipped or Rich & Creamy vanilla frosting
- 3/4 cup salted peanuts, coarsely chopped
- 3 cups crisp rice cereal
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 bag (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350. Spray bottom only of 13 x 9 inch pan with cooking spray.
Make brownie mix as directed on box, using water, oil; and eggs. Spread batter into pans.
Bake as directed on box. Cool completely.
Spread brownies with frosting; sprinkle with peanuts. Refrigerate while making cereal mixture.
Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside. In 1 qt saucepan, melt peanut butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly. Pour over cereal in bowl, stirring until evenly coated. Spread over frosted brownies. Cool completely before cutting, about 1 hour.
